Legislator Survey Comments - Sue Homola

 Mr. Axelman,

I appreciate you reaching out to share your thoughts. Having said that, the assumption that a non-reply by today means no action is being taken by anyone is a false assumption. There are a lot of people concerned about this situation, and trying to understand it factually is an important step.

On Friday, I spent quite a deal of time speaking to EC staff to understand the situation, since I did not attend the 13 Oct meeting. I also spoke to Commissioner Quinn, NH Public Safety, to understand why the state police made the arrests. I then spent the weekend listening to all 4 hours of the EC meeting so I could understand how many outbursts during the meeting there were. Based off what I heard, there were not too many outbursts.

I still don't have information on why the state police decided to escort the first people out of the room, since they appeared seated and quiet in a video clip I saw. I would also like to know how 2 of the people escorted out of the room resisted arrests.

If you have any specific information to share, I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Respectfully,

Sue Homola
State Representative
Hillsborough Co., District 27
