Legislator Survey Comments - Fred Plett

It may have been an over-reaction to previous sessions that were indeed broken up due to rowdy, threatening behavior, which is never acceptable. I was not there. As a legislator, I cannot intervene in this Executive branch Meeting of Governor and Council other than to express displeasure. I do understand that all people who were arrested were transported to Boscawen and released. Your letter to the Attorney General’s office was appropriate. The Constitution already provides the rights of free assembly and (peaceful) speech, so I am not certain what legislative action could further accomplish.

While you are not my constituent, I appreciate you informing me of your direct observations in the Executive Council Meeting on October 13, 2021.

If you have not reached out to your District's NH State Representatives and Senators, I would suggest you contact them as you are their direct constituents.

I am truly saddened by the events that occurred at the Executive Meeting that day and will discuss and share your concerns with my colleagues.

Legislator Survey Comments - Louise

Thank you for contacting me. As for a suggestion on articles of impeachment, as Kevin Avard advised you this process starts in the House. I suggest you send an email to the Speaker of the House, Sherman Packard. His email Sherman.Packard@leg.state.nh.us. I have contacted the Speaker a couple of times on the October 13th issues, and plan to do so again tomorrow morning.

I want you to know that I am doing everything I can, asking for an investigation. Have contacted and continue to contact every official I can come up with in the State.

Respectfully,

Representative Louise Andrus,

Merrimack County District 1

Thank You for your email October 13th was an atrocity. I watch the EC meeting was appalled by our govenors actions. I will be in favor of a complete favor a complete investigation. And any actions thereafter that are agreed upon. Rep Gail Sandborn.

Good morning, I totally believe in freedom of speech, but when you go into a meeting and threaten people that is not acceptable! There are other ways to get your point across. Sorry!

The arrests seem to be far from necessary. I don't trust the court system. Matthew Simon has done a good job of summarizing available information. I think the legislature should investigate the events; unfortunately, I don't trust the legislature either.

Thank you for reaching out to me and a number of my colleagues. I appreciate your thoughtful and what clearly are heartfelt sentiments, as well as your citations, interpretations and applications of several Articles of the NH Constitution.

I believe your appeal should be addressed seriously,  and I know a few of my colleagues in the House agree. Painfully and regrettably, I am saddened to tell of my shock and distress over the positions taken by a number of fellow Republicans, whose responses to the questions and issues raised by the Governors conduct on October 13 amount to either distancing of giving the back of the hand. What I am reading most frequently is that no people in their districts have communicated with them about October 13.

We will press forward, but win or lose we will know that we have stood on the side of right.
